Our institute began its activities in the 1998-1999 academic year with the publication of the Galatasaray University Social Sciences Institute Training and Education Regulation in the Official Newspaper on 3rd June 1998, numbered 23361.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sakir Ersoy carries out the duty of Institute Manager, Assoc. Prof. Idil Kaya and Ass. Assoc. Prof. Umit Kocasakal carry out the duty of Assistant Institute Manager and Fikriye Kerim carries out the duty of Institute Secretary.

The Institute of Social Sciences, besides the master’s degree with thesis and without thesis programmes, carries out the candidate period and inter-services trainings of the public clerks according to the attached protocol of the agreement, 3/e article between the Turkish Republic and French Republic dated 14th April 1992 and according to Our institute began its activities in the 1998-1999 academic year with the publication of the Galatasaray University Social Sciences Institute Training and Education Regulation in the Official Newspaper on 3rd June 1998, numbered 23361.
